UBM Live, organizers of IFSEC, the world’s leading annual security event, has announced the finalists for the IFSEC 2011 Security Industry Awards in May 2011. The awards will be presented at a black tie gala dinner, hosted by former British Lions and England Rugby Union player Martin Bayfield on Monday 16 May at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.

IFSEC has nominated ZK Software’s MultiBio700 as finalists for the IFSEC 2011 Access Control Product of the Year Award, along with four other renowned multinational companies - Assa Abloy, Genie CCTV Ltd, GSD and IEE S.A. The IFSEC Security Industry Awards 2011 is the premier event for the security industry to celebrate security innovations over the last 12 months. You can find the detailed awards information here.

Widely regarded as the industry’s premier event, the IFSEC Security Industry Awards is both a celebration and an acknowledgement of excellence of the products and technological innovations influencing and shaping the industry and security professionals, running alongside the IFSEC 2011 exhibition, making it the social event for the entire industry.

IFSEC, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, from the 16th to the 19th of May, 2011, is the world's leading global annual security event, uniting over 22,000 security professionals, with more than 650 world leading companies attending.

MultiBio 700, which ZK Software will be exhibiting at its stand at IFSEC in Hall 4 4/E103, is a state-of-the-art multi-biometric access control system. With an elegant, robust and ergonomic design, it combines Facial, Fingerprint and PIN recognition, offering the added option of an integrated RFID module. Equipped with the latest facial identification algorithm, it captures the relative position, size and shape of user’s eyes, nose, cheekbones and jaw features. These feature templates are used to match feature data when users register on the terminal, converting the captured features into value and comparing these to eliminate variance. Integrated with the newest and most advanced fingerprint algorithm version, ZKFinger10.0, it ensures high precision fingerprint identification. MultiBio 700 can hold up to 3000 faces and up to 5000 fingerprint templates. A professional access control terminal, it can operate on standalone mode, but also combines perfectly with ZK Software’s recently launched multiple door controllers, the C3 Series - operating together with third party applications such as electric lock, alarm, doorbell and outdoor sensor - making MultiBio 700 one of the best and most complete multi-biometric access control terminals on the market today.
